About us
Namal Knowledge City is one of the largest educational projects in Asia that will take center stage in redefining Pakistan’s knowledge trajectory. The first breakthrough event that marked its development happened in 2008 with the establishment of Namal University by Mr. Imran Khan. Today this haven of education is supporting students coming from 71 districts of the country. 97% of the students are on need and merit-based scholarships.
Mission
Friends of Namal USA is committed to supporting Namal University in Pakistan by providing talented students from rural areas with access to quality higher education. Our mission is to empower youth through scholarship programs, foster leadership, and uplift communities by building a network of resilient, self-reliant individuals who can drive positive change. Friends of Namal USA also serves as a platform for connecting Pakistani expatriates living in the USA, enabling them to channel their passion toward supporting higher education and contributing to Pakistan’s development. By encouraging professionals to share their knowledge and invest in the country’s future, we aim to break barriers through education and create a lasting impact across generations.

Mr. Sajjad Burki
Mr. Sajjad Burki is the Director of Friends of Namal USA and a key figure in the Pakistani diaspora community. He currently serves as the Broker at Burki Realty Group and has played a pivotal role in organizing international chapters and diaspora engagement. He has also served as the focal person in the USA to Chairman PTI, Imran Khan, contributing significantly to community mobilization and advocacy.Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, Mr. Burki studied at the University of Manitoba and brings a wealth of leadership experience to the Namal cause, helping strengthen its global outreach and development efforts.

Naila Burki is the Principal Officer of Friends of Namal USA and a seasoned real estate professional with over 28 years of experience. She is the owner of Burki Realty Group Inc., where she specializes in property resales, foreclosures, commercial sales, and new construction projects. Her strong leadership and project management skills, honed through years in real estate and business ownership, bring significant value to the strategic and fundraising efforts of Friends of Namal USA.
